Talk Now! is a beginning-level language courseon CD-ROM available in over 102 languages from Afrikaans to Zulu,and is excellent for travelers who must pick up a language in ahurry. World Talk picks up from Talk Now! at an intermediate level,and follows on with over 30 languages in the same format ofinteractive learning with entertaining games and drills.
Designed by language experts, it includes great features likespeak and repeat, interactive games, and digital recordings withboth sexes of native speakers, and runs on both Macintosh andWindows computers.

The games and quizzes included on the disc ensure that users havefun whilst using the disc, without realising that they’re learning.The “intelligent” software feature remembers words you get wrongand targets your weak points. Each question that is answeredcorrectly increases the user’s score – get an answer wrong andpoints will be lost. There are 1800 points in total to gain fromthe disc. A full score earns the user a ‘Gold Award’.
There are nine topics: first words, food, colours, phrases, partsof the body, numbers, time, shopping and countries. Each topiccontains listening practice, an easy game, a hard game, a printabledictionary as well as the opportunity to record your voice and hearhow you sound in comparison to the two native speakers who tutorthe user throughout the course. Each of the target languages hashelp available in an additional 102 languages. The disc localisesautomatically using the computer’s operating system language. Thereis also the option to click on the flag on the first screen tochange the help language.
